It is with great excitement that we announce that RTC’s next production will be a ‘Miscast’ Cabaret, to be performed at Oxford House (Bethnal Green) on Tuesday 9th & Wednesday 10th May 2017.
Who says that Elle Woods can’t be a brunette, that you need to be a girl to want a Big Spender, or that you need to be a child to dream of ‘When I Grow Up’? This cabaret will be all at once an amusing, energetic, and moving night of RTC regulars & newbies playing parts they would never normally be able to play.
It’s time to start thinking outside of the musical box, with gender-flipping, role-reversing, stereotype-busting songs for all.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, we must start at the very beginning and find our Maria (or Mario) & the Von Trapps to lead our cast in singing, dancing and acting, all over the rolling hills of... Bethnal Green.
Once again, we will be looking for:
· Director
· Musical Director
· Choreographer (there is a big stage area to play with)
· Producer
If you would like to put yourself forward for any of these roles, please email by RTCSunday 19th February. Production team interviews will take place w/c 20th Feb.
Rehearsals will begin on March 7th, and will take place every Tuesday. There will be a couple of weekend rehearsals closer to the time.
If you have any questions about the cabaret or anything RTC-related, please email us at rollers.theatrecompany@gmail.com.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Lots of love,
The RTC Exec
